BRISTOL, Connecticut (CBS2) — The Battle for the Little Brown Stein will take place on the national stage. The 89th meeting of Idaho and Montana, slated for Oct. 14 at the Kibbie Dome, will be broadcast on ESPN2 at 7:30 p.m., according to a recent press release. The game will also be homecoming for Idaho.
"We are very excited to host Montana for our homecoming game on ESPN2 in the Battle for the Little Brown Stein," Vandals head coach Jason Eck said. "This is a tremendous regional rivalry that is very important to our student-athletes and fans. It will be awesome for the entire country to see the passion that comes out in the Kibbie Dome."
Idaho is ranked seventh and Montana 10th in the Athlon Preseason polls, and both teams made the playoffs a season ago.
