MONROE, Wis. (WMTV/Gray News) - A person died after a truck backed into them, killing them on the scene, according to police,
The Monroe Police Department and Green County EMS responded to a report of a vehicle that allegedly backed into a person Friday afternoon in Monroe, Wisconsin.
The person was reportedly pinned under the truck and not breathing,
Officials say the preliminary investigation found that the truck was performing a backing maneuver when it hit the person. Officers say they found the individual had suffered life-ending injuries and was pronounced dead on the scene by the Greene County Coroner’s Office.
The accident remains under investigation.
