There could be various reasons for you to be not able to log in to Destiny 2, including bugs, errors and more. However, in addition to this, the servers of the game might also be offline because of some backend issue, or the developers might have taken them down for maintenance.

If that's the case, you can check the server status of Destiny 2 and get to know when they will be back online so that you can continue playing the game. Here's a guide on how you can do it.

Are Destiny 2 servers down?

Yes, Destiny 2 servers will be down for almost 24 hours starting from February 27 9 AM PST. The reason behind this long maintenance is to get the servers ready for the launch of Lightfall DLC. During this time period, you will not be able to play the game; however, you can still preload Lightfall so that you can start playing the game instantly after the maintenance is over.

🛠️ Destiny 2 servers will be taken offline beginning February 27, 2023 @ 9AM PST in preparation for Lightfall. Lightfall's pre-load will begin shortly after.

Destiny 2 servers are expected to return online February 28 @ 9AM PST.
